As a formally trained Clinical Neuropsychologist, Dr. Rosado conducts comprehensive evaluations and provides clinical recommendations to assist with treatment planning for individuals experiencing a wide variety of challenges (e.g. chronic medical conditions, neurological concerns, psychiatric/behavioral changes and more). Dr. Rosado specializes in the assessment of adult/geriatric patients (over 16 years of age). Common conditions include:
o Mild Cognitive Impairment
o Dementia
o Stroke
o Parkinson’s Disease
o Brain Tumor
o Concussion
o Traumatic Brain Injury
o Epilepsy
o Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
o Learning Disability
o Other Neurological and Psychiatric Conditions
The clinical interview focuses on discussing current concerns, and gathering relevant background information, such as mental health history, medical events and psychosocial history (e.g. academic/occupation history, family support etc).
The testing portion consists of the completion of a series of paper/pencil tests (brief computer based tests are also possible) to assess various cognitive domains. Testing may last for several hours 3-6+ (depending on complexity of the case).
The feedback appointment is generally a brief appointment 45 minutes or less. Results of the evaluation will be discussed with you and whomever you wish to be present during the appointment. The appointment may be via Telehealth for convenience. In-person appointments can also be arranged.
